Okay, it is too late for this year, but I am telling you, for next year and the years to come, Thursday night Sneak-A-Peek is the time to take your kids to Stampede. Every year I hum and hah about taking the kids down to the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, and every year I totally jam. Honestly, three kids and me, navigating the throngs of revelers, trying to keep each kid happy, and make it out intact. Sounds fun! But last night, we gave it a go, and I am reformed. Here are the advantages of going to Sneak-A-Peek, which is the night before Stampede officially starts, when the grounds are open from 5pm, with everything available except rodeo etc.

The Calgary Stampede is about to begin, so I though it would be fun to look at some of the facts, history and legend surrounding this 100 year old event. It didn't take much searching to find tales and trivia. How much of it is true? Well, it's hard to say. But it is all fascinating!
