Last year, the Dinosaurs Alive! exibit was at the Calgary Zoo. Animatronic dinosaurs, with movement and sound in an environment specially made for dinosaurs. The older kids loved the realistic dinosaurs (as realistic as you are gonna get!), especially the ones that reacted to our movement and made sounds as we passed. Young ones may not be as excited about scary growls and sharp looking teeth!

Okay, this is a totally self serving post. But I think maybe some of you KinderJet-setters may be interested. We have friends who live far away from us, in a place that is jam packed with family travel opportunities. We have traveled to see them several times, and will do so many more, I'm sure. We love it there! But we would like to convince them to come visit us, too. Hard to do when they live in a virtual family travel paradise. So begins my attempt to point out all that we have to offer families here in Western Canada.

I will post more about the Calgary Zoo another time, but I wanted to share this video I did of the Dinosaurs Alive! Exhibit that was there last year. It is quite spectacular and I would recommend taking the family to see it if it comes to a zoo near you.
