I have one more story to share about our trip to Budapest. Oh, I could
go on and on...and on...and on, but I have shared the highlights, and we
are all getting a little tired of it by now. But there is one lovely
evening which deserves to have it's story told.
When we decided to take our kids to Budapest, we had some decisions to
make. One of those decisions was how to keep them busy. We have traveled
with our kids several times before, but always to more obviously kid
related places. When your sight seeing list includes the words Disney,
Lego or Playmobil, you don't have to worry too much about keeping the
kids entertained. Not knowing what we'd find in Budapest that would
appeal to the boys, and know we would want to take in a few significant
sights that would definitely not appeal to them, we needed a plan. We
came up with...The Camera Plan.
I've heard Hungary has more natural hot springs than anywhere else on
earth. Budapest is well known for it's medicinal thermal baths. With
these baths come swimming pools. And there is nothing most kids love
more than spending an afternoon in the water, especially when the
weather is hot and sunny. In the two weeks we were in the Hungarian
capital, we splashed in three of the most popular baths. (Click on the
names for more information and history of each one.)
When you travel with kids it is tough to know what they will enjoy,
and what they will hold in their memories from the trip. For one
particular three year old boy who is obsessed with anything with wheels,
we have a pretty good idea.

Two weeks in Budapest, Hungary. And so many stories to tell. Most of
them not even mine. But I am a story teller, so I will tell them anyway.
Let's begin with the reason for this particular trip.
